THE mayor, Cllr Adrian Jones, will switch on the Christmas lights in Liscard on Saturday.
The switch-on will take place in Liscard Way, between Barclays and Lloyds TSB banks, at 4.30pm.
St Alban’s School choir and the Salvation Army band will be singing carols and Father Christmas will be in attendance.
Traders donated money towards the lights and funding bids were submitted to the Your Wirral fund and Wirral Council’s Community Initiative Fund.
New Brighton Sea Cadets also completed a bag pack earlier this month at Asda in Liscard, raising £521.
