3rd Wallasey Scout Group celebrates its centenary

WALLASEY’S longest established Scout group has celebrated its centenary.

The 3rd Wallasey Scout Group was registered on October 6, 1908, and meetings have now taken place for 100 continuous years, including through both World War I and II.

A weekend of celebrations at the group’s base, Emmanuel Church in New Brighton, included a party, a reunion of past members and culminated with members cutting a birthday cake, assisted by the Mayor and Mayoress of Wirral, Cllr and Mrs Adrian Jones.
