A FORMER staff memberŠat Royal Liverpool University Hospital has been charged with viewing child pornography after taking his computer hard drive into work.
Stuart Dunn, 44, who gave a Leasowe Road, Moreton, address to court, was employed in the hospital’s reprographics department and faces 10 charges of making indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of a child.
Prosecuting, Alan Currums told Birkenhead magistrates on Friday: “The defendant’s external hard drive was connected to hospital systems and witnesses from the hospital believed it contained images of a pornographic nature, in relation to female children.
“The hard drive and computer were both seized and forensically examined by police, who located a number of indecent images and video clips.”
In total, 63 indecent photographs, ranging from category one to the most graphic, category four, are alleged to have been found on Mr Dunn’s hard drive.
No plea was entered by the defendant and he was granted unconditional bail to appear again at Birkenhead magistrates’ court on January 9 2009, for committal to Liverpool Crown Court.
