All options open for former site of Liscard Hall

WIRRAL Council says all options remain open for the site of the demolished Liscard Hall.

Council officers met with councillors and the Friends of Central Park last week to discuss the future of the land, two months after the former art school was bulldozed following an arson attack.

A council spokesman said: “It was agreed that officers will continue to investigate further options available before reporting to cabinet in October.

“The arson attack on the hall and the need for its subsequent demolition has altered the original proposals that were being worked on by officers, local members and the Friends of Central Park.

“The options now available range from simply leaving the former site of the hall as a grassed area to re-issuing a revised development brief to the market.

“All options will be investigated and officers will continue to liaise with the group.”
