Burton man Vernon takes on regional Rotary role

VERNON Schwarz, founder member of the Rotary Club of West Wirral, is to become a Rotary district governor for an area stretching from Mid-Wales to Southport and taking in Oswestry, Wrexham, Chester and Liverpool, embracing 61 Rotary clubs and more than 2,000 members.

Vernon, who lives in Burton, was deputy headteacher at Pensby High School for Boys before becoming headteacher at St George of England High School in Bootle, a post he retired from two years ago.
