Laburnum archway is in bloom at Ness Gardens

THE famous laburnum arch at Ness Gardens – a 20 metre long tunnel with an overwhelming mass of yellow laburnum flowers – is finally in full bloom.

Located in the herb garden, the arch only blooms once a year and is currently at its peak.

Kevin Reid, director of Ness Gardens, said: “Each year people travel from all over the country to see it in its prime.”

An extensive events programme runs throughout the year including guided walks, Sunday lectures and a variety of courses for everyone.

A children’s fun day will be also be held at the end of July and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra is playing in an open air performance in July.
