TWO further planning applications for a temporary market on Brook Street and additional parking on the Belmont Cottage site and Neston town centre will be submitted soon.
Images showing the new town square, supermarket and new decked car parking have drawn a steady flow of visitors since being unveiled in the Blackwell Building a fortnight ago.
Special drop in sessions have been arranged allowing residents and visitors to view artists’ impressions and discuss the controversial planning application with council officers.
Ellesmere Port and Neston Borough Council principal planning officer, Paul Friston said: “We have seen a steady flow of interest in the exhibition.
“People have called in to discuss a variety of topics connected with the planning application and there is a wide range of views being expressed.
“Many of the comments relate to potential disruption during the construction period along with traffic and car parking issues.
“It is expected that further planning applications for a temporary market on Brook Street and proposals for additional parking on the Belmont Cottage site will be submitted shortly.
“It is important that people put their comments in writing for Planning Committee to make the final decision.”
Those who wish to view the plans can do so at Neston Town Hall, Neston Library and the council offices in Civic Way, Ellesmere Port.
Anyone wishing their views to be taken into account must write by Friday April 11.
