Wirral West Kirby wine bar plan for funeral home returns

PLANS to turn a former Wirral funeral home into a wine bar are back on the agenda.

Despite being turned down by councillors in May, a new application to turn the former Griffiths Funeral home at Grange Bank in West Kirby has been submitted.

Councillors originally decided it was too close to nearby residential properties.

Officers have earmarked the plan for approval, saying there is no evidence it would result in a major increase in noise disturbance.

The bid will be considered on October 1 at 6pm at Wallasey Town Hall.
