Contractors make “minor adjustment” to West Kirby Marine Lake after £750,000 refurbishment project

WIRRAL Council says further repairs to West Kirby Marine Lake are a “minor adjustment” and should be finished by the end of today.

A 15-week, £750,000 refurbishment of the lake’s outer wall was carried out this year.

It followed an engineers’ report saying the lake’s outer wall was crumbling.

But contractors were back on site this week for more repairs at the north end of the lake.

Wirral Council says they have also performed “patch repairs” to a car park.

The location forms a crucial element of the ambitious multi-million pound “Sail” project for West Kirby, with a new hotel overlooking the lake.
