Fundraisers give a triple donation boost for Hoylake Cottage nursing centre

FUNDRAISERS at Hoylake Cottage nursing centre have received a triple boost from big-hearted supporters.

First, Caldy Golf Club ladies’ captain Liz Almond donated £450 from a range of fundraising activities by the ladies’ section.

Then generous customers at Morrison’s in West Kirby made contributions totalling £495 in return for volunteers packing their bags on a busy day in December.

And the final cash injection came from 650 Matalan staff at the company’s Skelmersdale headquarters, who donated the proceeds of a dress-down day, almost £570.

Community fundraiser Emma Keenan said: “This is a great start to our year and I am very grateful to everyone who has supported us from the three organisations. It all adds up to a significant boost to our fundraising for a new day care centre for older people.”
