WIRRAL West MP Stephen Hesford is visiting schools across his constituency to discuss climate change and global warming.
Mr Hesford has written to every headteacher with a 10-point plan designed to engage children in the issues and help cut school energy use, saving money on their energy bills.
As schools enter the autumn term and switch the heating on, how to conserve heat in school and at home has been one of the major topics of discussion.
Mr Hesford said: “Individuals can feel powerless to do anything when it comes to an issue as large-scale as climate change, but pupils at the schools I visit want to do something for our plane.
“If everyone in school and at home does their bit, we can make a difference.”
