Morris Minor fan Burt Taberner from Greasby dies aged 87

THE life president of the Morris Minor Club, Greasby’s Burt Taberner has died.
Burt became well know for his devotion to his Morris Minor, a car he continued to drive from new until his death, at the age of 87, on June 24.
He had been suffering from a cancer-related illness and his funeral will take place at Landican Cemetery on Tuesday, July 8 from 11am.
Those driving Morris Minors are invited to meet at the Twelfth Man pub at 10.30am for a procession to the funeral.
Burt’s niece will be inheriting his car.
Those attending are asked to donate to St John’s Hospice rather than send flowers.
