Indian cycle ride fundraiser for Hoylake Cottage

A CYCLE ride through northern India has raised £400 for Hoylake Cottage and £2,900 for Women For Women.

Fundraiser Helen Latham covered 370km from Agra to Jaipur, camping at night in freezing conditions and cycling for up to 10 hours a day.

The trip was organised by the Women For Women charity and, after meeting their fundraising target, Helen pledged all further donations to Hoylake Cottage.

Helen, campaign director at Hoylake Cottage, said: “It was very tough and I was completely exhausted at the end, but we saw some memorable sights, including the Taj Mahal.

“I was delighted to raise money for two worthwhile charities and I would like to thank everyone who has sponsored me – and if anyone else would like to make a donation, it’s not too late!”

Funds raised for Hoylake Cottage will go towards new day care facilities being planned for the Birkenhead Road centre.
