Fearless fundraisers jump for Hoylake Cottage Hospital

FEARLESS fundraisers are preparing to take to the skies to support Hoylake Cottage hospital.

The group of 14 are aiming to complete a series of heart-racing tandem sky dives in Lancaster on April 18.

Funds raised will go towards new day care facilities being planned for older people at Hoylake Cottage.

Among the team is Jack Jones, who last year leapt off the world’s highest bungee launch point - Verzasca Dam in Switzerland.

He said: “It started when four of us who belong to Caldy Golf Club decided we would do a parachute jump and then other friends started to say they would join us, so the number just grew.

“We want to raise money for Hoylake Cottage and at the same time do something a bit adventurous, so this seemed to be a natural follow-on from the bungee jump.

“There are still places spare if anyone else wants to join us!”

The parachutists are Hoylake Cottage hospital fundraiser Jen Ling, Kris Archer, Martin Robinson, Marcus Scott, Stefanie Ormesher, Sarah Flaherty, brothers Richard and Graham Thomas, Vicki Craig, Nick Bellinger, Adam Sands, Steve Mawson and Victoria Stewart.

Sponsor forms are available from Zero Four hair salon in West Kirby, Eskimo bar in Hoylake, Caldy Golf Club and the Collingwood bar in West Kirby.
