Coastguards alerted as dog swims out to sea at West Kirby

COASTGUARDS were alerted last Wednesday after a dog started swimming out to sea at West Kirby.

The dog went into the water while chasing seagulls on West Kirby beach and seemed oblivious to his owner’s calls.

The crisis was averted when the man followed his pet into the sea, prompting the dog to turn around and swim back.
