HILBRE High School Humanities College has won a national award for its continued commitment to young people.
The college received a silver standard from the Diana Award after successfully nominating young people for the accolade three times.
Pupils have raised more than £30,000 for an orphanage and a centre for cerebral palsy in Morocco.
The Diana Award is a living legacy to the late Princess. It is given to ordinary young people aged 12-18 who go that extra mile to make a difference to their schools, communities, families and friends.
Since 2004 the college has nominated more than 60 young people for the Diana Award.
Phil Mulvaney, the college’s award co-ordinator, said: “We are very proud of our Diana Award holders. We are delighted to receive this award and will continue to make nominations for this prestigious accolade. The value to our young people is immense.”
