Thingwall pianist Simon Brown completes 500-mile charity bike ride across Spain

THINGWALL pianist Simon Brown has just completed a gruelling 500-mile bike ride, crossing Spain from the Pyrenees to Santiago de Compostela, in 11 days.
It is in aid of the Marina Dalglish Appeal and its drive to open a new radiotherapy centre in conjunction with Clatterbridge Centre of Oncology.
Simon said: “We travelled through woodlands of chestnuts, eucalyptus, across streams, up and down rocky paths, through mud and stones with only occasional respite on tarmac.”
So far, £1,200 has been raised, but Simon is hoping to reach £1,500.
