A FORMER Wirral man who sexually abused two young girls has been sent to jail indefinitely.
A judge told Ross Adams that he posed a significant risk of serious harm to the public and imposed an indeterminate sentence for public protection.
Judge David Harris QC, ordered that Adams, 57, must serve two-and-a-half years before he can apply to the parole board to be considered for release.
But the judge told him: “It is unlikely in the extreme that you will be able to demonstrate by that time that you are no longer a risk to society and justify the Parole Board releasing you.
He also ordered Adams to sign on the Sex Offender’s Register for life.
Adams, formerly of Fishers Lane, Pensby, had been convicted by a Liverpool Crown Court jury of six offences of sexual assault.
Formerly known as John Cousins, Adams repeatedly molested one girl beginning when she was six and abused the other girl when she was 14 and 16.
Adams denied all the allegations.
