World Firefighter Games gets under way in Wirral

THE competition is hotting up as the World Firefighter Games get into full swing in Wirral this week.

The festival will run until September 2 and will see firemen from as far afield as New York, Algeria, New Zealand and Thailand going head to head in a range of events, raising £100,000 for charity.
