A JUNIOR soldier received a top prize when he graduated from the Army Foundation College.
Junior Lance Corporal Stuart Burns, 17, of Bromborough, was awarded the Conductors’ Cup for the Best Junior Soldier from the Royal Logistics Corps at the college, which caters for 16-year-olds.
“I feel quite proud to have won this prize,” said Stuart, a former pupil of South Wirral High School.
“I have never won anything like this before. The College has been good and I have enjoyed learning to shoot and doing PT. We visited London for the Realities of War part of our course and got to see various museums which was great.”
Stuart joined the Army Foundation College for a unique 42-week course combining vocational education and military training.
