Wirral celebrates Bangladesh’s independence day

FABULOUS crafts and delicious food were on the menu as Wirral celebrated Bangladesh’s independence day.

The colourful event was hosted on Saturday at Birkenhead Central Library to celebrate the country’s 42nd anniversary.

Plenty of activities kept children entertained such as face painting, games and crafts, traditional music and Sylheti storytelling. Tasty Bangladeshi food and drinks were also served.

Wirral Mayor Cllr Gerry Ellis and his wife Margaret came along to support the day.
