Starbucks to open coffee shop in Eastham

AN AMERICAN coffee chain is opening a new store in Wirral.

Starbucks will replace the Little Chef in New Chester Road, Eastham.

Following refurbishment the outlet is due to open in mid-March.

The move comes after petrol forecourt operator EuroGarages took on the leases of five former Little Chefs around the country from the Travelodge group.

The coffee shops are under a licensing arrangement with Starbucks.

The global company is the largest coffeehouse company in the world, with stores in 61 countries.

It came under fire in December for tax avoidance in Britain.

The lettings were brokered by specialist property adviser Christie & Co.
