Dream come true for eight-year-old Liverpool mascot in FA Cup semi-final

A BEBINGTON schoolboy had his dreams come true when he was chosen to be a Liverpool mascot in the FA Cup semi-final.

Eight-year-old Joe Woolfall had the time of his life at Wembley stadium with his football heroes.

He was randomly selected by ESPN, broadcaster of the FA Cup and Liverpool FC in a competition to select a lucky member of their junior members to become the mascot.

The youngster led the mighty Reds on the pitch and saw Liverpool defeat Everton by 2-1, leading the team to victory.

Liverpool will now play Chelsea at Wembley on May 5 with kick-off at 5.15pm.

ESPN is a broadcaster of the FA Cup and will be providing all day and commercial-free coverage of the FA Cup Final from 8am.
