Storytime gets livelier with budding TV presenter from Wirral bringing books to life

STORYTIME sessions for children have become lively thanks to a budding TV presenter from Wirral bringing books to life.

Carl Loughlin-Ravenscroft from Bromborough has television presenting in his sights.

Helping him on his way to stardom are the children’s book reviews he does on video, dressing up as different characters.

They are then posted on his website and Youtube.

One of Carl’s characters is called Grandpa Joe, who reads stories and unsuspectingly pulls out disgusting props from his book to keep the viewer entertained.

Now, youngsters can see Carl in action on March 3 as he is doing a storytime session at Waterstones book store in Birkenhead, between 1pm-2pm.

The slot is aimed at children aged seven plus, and those attending will receive a Grandpa Joe goody bag.

Tickets to see Grandpa Joe at Waterstone’s are free.
