TWO men have denied murdering two men – including a father-of-two from Bebington – whose bodies were found in a burnt-out van buried in a field.
Thomas Haigh, 26, and Ross Stone, 26, appeared at Truro Crown Court, where they both pleaded not guilty to the murder of Brett Flournoy and David Griffiths in June.
Mr Griffiths, a father-of-three originally from Plymouth but living in Berkshire, and Mr Flournoy, 31 were last seen on June 16 after travelling to Cornwall.
It is thought they went to Saltash but were not seen alive again. Their bodies were found a month later in the remains of a Citroen Berlingo van buried on land at Trenance Downs.
Stone, of Trenance Downs, and Haigh, of no fixed abode but originally from Huddersfield, were remanded in custody ahead of a trial due to start on January 9 next year.
