Two men attacked with hammer in Birkenhead

TWO men were attacked with a hammer in Birkenhead.
Emergency services were called to Derby Road, in Birkenhead, at 3pm on Monday following reports the two men were assaulted by men armed with a hammer.
The victims, aged 31 and 41, were taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment.
Their injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
Although the motive is unknown, officers believe it was a targeted attack. The scene was cordoned off for forensic examination and CCTV footage was being examined.
