Two Wirral schools win competition to desgin Merseyside Police Christmas cards

A WIRRAL school is playing a starring role as Merseyside Police sends out its festive greetings.

The force launched a competition among Mersey schools to design its Christmas card and Woodslee Primary School pupil, Stephanie Morris came out on top.

The nine-year-old’s creation was chosen by chief officers after 200 schools across the region entered.

Stephanie came up with a design featuring a snowman in a snow globe – wearing a police helmet – and bearing the message, ‘Don’t Drink and Drive’.

And to reward her hard work, Chief Constable Jon Murphy took a trip to the Bromborough school to congratulate her in person, and hand over a £50 Liverpool One voucher as a prize, as well as a framed copy of her design.

Woodslee also received a £200 donation thanks to Stephanie’s artistic skills.
