Bebington mum enlists TV psychic to solve mystery of son’s death in 2007

It was only later in a one to one consultation at her Port Sunlight home that Tony revealed the full scope of his suspicions, but Hayley wasn’t surprised.

Hayley said: “Tony has told me that they haven’t meant to kill him, and they’ve just gone to give him a kicking.

“They hit him with a metal wrench – that’s the two lumps on his head that the post mortem found.

“They’ve put him in a white van, wrapped in an old rolled up carpet and they drove around a long time with Christian’s body in the van before they’ve decided what to do with him.”

Now the family has written to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) explaining their concerns about the original investigation and the watchdog have confirmed that they are looking into the matter.

The IPCC report into the case could prove influential when the family come to petition the Merseyside Police chief constable to order the investigations team review Christian’s death.

Chief Inspector Chris Markey said: “Merseyside Police can confirm that a review of the initial investigation into the death of Christian Ruffley in 2007 is already underway following the receipt of a formal complaint from a family member.

“As a result we are working closely with family and continue to listen to their concerns.”
