Cancer survivors walk up Mount Snowdon to raise money for Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology

SURVIVORS of testicular cancer are walking up Mount Snowdon to raise money for Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology.

The four-hour North Wales trek, on Sunday, August 16, has been organised by Wirral resident and former cancer patient Phil Morris, founder of testicular website checkemlads.com

Survivors of the cancer will be joined on the walk by those who have relatives with the disease.

Among the walkers will be Oasis drummer Alan White, Coronation Street actor Anthony Cotton (Sean Tully), producers of the hit TV show Shameless and Steve White, drummer for the Style Council.

Phil has set a £600 target on his justgiving.com fundraising page.

He said: “Join myself, Steve and Alan White, Anthony Cotton and some wonderful people who have lost loved ones to cancer.

“It is also an awareness walk for survivors who have battled cancer.”

Anyone who would like to take part in the walk should meet in the car park next to the Snowdon mountain railway in Llanberis at 8.30am.

Those who want to greet the walkers when they reach their goal can take a train to the top.
