Balloons mark the start of summer

YOUNGSTERS in Bebington have been taking part in a special balloon race to mark the start of their summer holidays.

Members of Bebington Rotary Club visited end-of-term school fairs and sports days to sell and release helium balloons.

The balloon found to have travelled furthest will win a prize.

Proceeds will go towards funding the Wirral Life Education Caravan, which travels around the area to educate school pupils about the dangers of drugs, alcohol and smoking.
