AN independent film-maker has found a novel way of casting for his next film – by auctioning roles on eBay.
Douglas Byrne, whose play, Snowbound, has just run at the Carlton Little Theatre in Birkenhead, is aiming to make his next film at the end of the year.
The Temp follows the adventures of a 40-something career “temp” who works for several companies at once.
Douglas, 39, and originally from Scotland, has lived in Wirral for the last 10 years.
He said: “It’s a chance for people to become involved in a film who wouldn’t ordinarily be able to.”
Shooting of the movie starts this October in the Wirral and Liverpool areas.
Starting bids will range from £50 to £500.
