A RESIDENT at Bebington Care Home has celebrated her 102nd birthday.
Lucy Salter married Charles Salter in 1928 and had two daughters, June and Myra.
Two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren followed.
Lucy, now a widow, has always loved sewing, knitting and gardening.
She said: “I have kept active throughout my life and really don’t feel like I’m 102.”
Caroline O’Gorman, the care home activities co-ordinator, said: “Lucy seemed to have a really lovely day.
“We had the mayor, an entertainer, bagpipes and an accordion at her party.”
