A SCHOOLTEACHER is walking across Hadrian’s Wall to raise money for Leukaemia Research.
Gary Murphy, from Bebington, began his 84-mile walk from the west to the east coast of England on Monday of this week.
He is accompanied by his dog, Jenkins, and expects the trek to take five days.
Gary, 38, who teaches at Liscard Primary School in Wallasey, said: “Over the past few years I have lost two cousins and an auntie to leukaemia and thought I should contribute to finding a cure.
“I hope to raise £1,000 to help fund the research that may find a cure for this disease."
