Wirral Egg Run
ALL THE money raised in this year’s Wirral Egg Run could go to any child in need and not just the Jellybean Kids Appeal.
The newly-registered charity in the name of the Wirral Egg Run team say they want to spread all the money raised further.
The idea is to make the money readily available to any child who is in need.
If a sick child from Wirral needs surgery in another country or cannot afford special treatment, then grants to cover the costs of this can be given.
However participants who wish to collect sponsorship for Jellybean, who are still beneficiaries from the run, are still free to do so. Sponsorship forms are available from the Appeal Office at Arrowe Park Hospital on 0151 604 7469.
Dave Morrison, committee member of the official Egg Run, said: “Our main objectives are to make lots of money for all the sick children in Wirral as well as deliver loads of chocolate eggs to them at Easter. We also want to create joy and provide a community event that everyone can enjoy.”
Dave and his team are on track for this year’s event but still need more marshals and stewards.
Dave added:“We desperately need people who can help to contact us so we can train them in time for the event.”
The 2009 Wirral Egg Run will be from New Brighton to Clatterbridge on March 29.
