Chocolate lamb curry on the menu at Wirral Farmers’ Market in New Ferry

CURRY and chocolate are not two things you would normally put together.

But Helen Orton’s chocolate lamb curry has been going down such a storm when she has catered events that she has given into demand and will be selling it at the next Wirral Farmers’ Market.

Helen said: “I first came up with the idea when I was asked to create a dish for the launch of the Chocolate Cellar’s new shop.

“People really loved it so I thought it would make a great dish to sell at the next farmers’ market which is on Valentine’s Day.”

She started with a lamb banana curry as a tribute to Superlambanana for the Capital of Culture and adapted it for the launch of the Chocolate Cellar in Liverpool.

The next market is at the Village Hall in New Ferry on Saturday, February 14, from 9am-1pm.
