THE dedication and generosity of volunteers at Hoylake Cottage has been praised at a thank-you party.
Around 75 volunteers attended the event, held in the old Hoylake Cottage building, next to the charitable organisation’s new nursing centre.
Chief executive Lin Cooke hosted the party and she paid tribute to the army of willing helpers.
She said: “Our volunteers, including the League of Friends, provide a highly valued service, running our charity shop, also visiting residents in our nursing centre, helping with fundraising events and generally giving their time to support the people we care for.
“Some of our volunteers have been helping us for over 20 years and they are an important part of our team.”
