Bikers braving the elements to deliver toys

MORE than 300 motorcyclists and their passengers braved freezing conditions on Sunday to take part in the 25th annual Wirral Toy Run, delivering Christmas cheer to the children of Arrowe Park Hospital.

The bikers and their pillions ventured out in temperatures as low as -3 Celsius in order to complete the newly extended route.

On their arrival the riders were greeted by the mayor and mayoress, Cllr and Mrs Adrian Jones, who accepted the toys and gifts on behalf of the children, and members of the public who had brought their own offerings to the hospital.

Almost £1400 was raised.
