Pretty in pink for fund

THE colour pink flooded through Wirral last week to raise money for Breast Cancer Care.

Schools, hospitals and businesses donned themselves in the bright colour for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The In the Pink day inspired thousands of people and raised thousands of pounds for breast cancer charities.

The 650-strong workforce at Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology raised funds for both the hospital charity and the national organisation, Breast Cancer Care, by adopting the pink dress code and taking part in fun charity events.

There was also be an unveiling of an unusual collection of artwork at the hospital, inspired by experiences of breast cancer.
