Blooming great lecture on the creation of the Port Sunlight rose

PORT Sunlight Museum and Garden Village will be holding an evening lecture tomorrow, hosted by Michael Marriott, technical manager of David Austin’s Roses, who will talk about the history of the company and the creation of the Port Sunlight rose, also known as Auslofty, which now features in the David Austin catalogue as a firm favourite.

Roses will be available to purchase on the night.

Tickets are £5. Booking is essential as there are limited spaces, which are booking up fast. Museum entry is included in the price plus a glass of wine or soft drink, home-made cake or rose petal scone, with clotted cream and jam.

Doors open at 6pm and the talk starts at 7pm.
