A TEENAGER was seriously injured after being assaulted outside Upton Hall School in Upton Village last Tuesday (August 19).
The 17-year-old is being treated in hospital, where his condition is described as serious but stable.
Police believe the teenager was followed from the Charcoal Grill Takeaway by a group of six males to outside the school, where an altercation is thought to have taken place.
Two of the six males involved in the incident are thought to be aged between 14 and 16, while the other four are thought to be between 16 and 18.
One wore a light grey tracksuit with 'Max' written on it and another wore a beige and blue jumper with horizontal stripes. One of the group had a yellow mountain bike.
Detective Sergeant Steve Blyth, said: “Incidents like this are very rare in this area.
“We would urge anyone who may know who is responsible for this horrific attack to come forward.”
