Your opportunity to name good sports

TIME is running out to nominate Wirral’s dedicated sports people in Merseyside's annual Sports Awards 2008.

Five categories include:

Coach of the Year

Club of the Year

Volunteer of the Year

Young Sports Person of the Year

Sport, Life Time Achievement Award

The awards, hosted by Wirral Sports Forum, are open to anybody who lives in Wirral.

Winners of the Wirral Awards will be nominated for the Merseyside Sports Awards 2008, which will be held at the Britannia Adelphi Hotel, Liverpool, in October.

Application forms explaining the eligibility and selection criteria are available from Wirral Sports Development on 0151-653 1301, or send an email to communitysports@wirral.gov.uk

Completed forms should be returned to Wirral Sports Development, Caretakers House, Grange Road West Sports Centre, Grange Road West, Birkenhead CH43 4XE by Friday, September 5.
