Staff at Arrowe Park Hospital in Wirral mark 60th birthday of the NHS

STAFF at Arrowe Park Hospital have been celebrating the 60th birthday of the NHS.

West Wirral MP Stephen Hesford this week praised the hard work of the borough’s NHS staff, past and present, when he met with hospital employees.

He said: “We are indebted to all NHS staff for their dedication over the past 60 years.

“Arrowe Park used to be the second largest non-teaching hospital in the country. It is now a teaching hospital because it was able to innovate with local universities to provide a £7m education centre on the hospital campus.

“I look forward to further success and innovation and I am proud that the NHS in Wirral is in such good shape for the future.”
