Oxton woman helps ill children live their dreams

A WIRRAL woman is set to help children battling life-threatening conditions live their dream and experience the magic of Disney.

Helen Evans, 26, from Oxton, will be supporting 22 children and their families on Caudwell Children’s Destination Dreams programme; a trip which helps children battling life-threatening conditions enjoy the holiday of a lifetime which is only made possible thanks to the support of volunteers.

Helen, found out about the work of Caudwell Children through a friend and was compelled to help make a difference.

Staged annually, Destination Dreams is specifically designed to help families enjoy precious time away from constant medical appointments and daily struggles relating to their child’s serious illness.

What makes the charity trip unique is the team of professional medics who travel with the families; enabling children with complex health needs to travel, sometimes for the first time.
