Police hunt two men after Birkenhead home burgled

Pair spotted near scene of crime

DETECTIVES investigating a burglary in Birkenhead have released an e-fit of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the offence.

Officers were called to Malpas Drive on January 6, following the break-in, which happened between 12pm and 4.45pm while the occupants were out.

A number of electrical items were stolen during the burglary including a Samsung television, a Hewlett Packard laptop and several Wii games.

Police are keen to speak to two men seen in the area around the time of the offence.

One man is described as around 5ft 8in tall, in his mid 20s, unshaven with pale skin while the second man is described as around 6ft tall, in his 30s, unshaven with a pale complexion.

Both men are described as wearing black tracksuit bottoms, dark jackets and black woolly beanie style hats.

Anyone who recognises the man in the e-fit is asked to call police, who believe he has important information for the investigation.
