Christmas bazaar at golf club raises £5,000 for local charity

A CHRISTMAS Bazaar at one of Wirral’s leading golf clubs raised £5,000 for a local charity.

The two-day event at the Royal Liverpool Golf Club was attended by more than 350 people, buying gifts ranging from fine foods to silver jewellery and home accessories.

All proceeds from the Bazaar will go to Hoylake Cottage, a local charity providing 24 hour nursing, respite, intermediate and also day care to older people, including those with dementia.

Fundraising manager Emma Keenan said: “I would like to thank everyone who worked hard to make it such a successful event – and everyone who came along and helped us raise such a fantastic amount.”
