PRIMARY school pupils are aiming to turn a tenner into a ton in just a month.
Year six pupils from Liscard Primary have come up with a range of ideas to make their money grow, including pyjama parties and cake bakes.
Other ideas are a “beat the goalie” competition and handmade Mother’s Day cards.
Students from Prenton High School for Girls are also taking part in the national competition, set by Peter Jones, chair of Enterprise UK.
It challenges anyone under 19 to come up with creative and enterprising ideas that make money and make a difference.
Everyone who takes part must return £10 at the end of the month but can keep – or donate to charity – any profit made during the month.
Lindsey Moran, deputy headteacher at Liscard Primary, said: “This is an opportunity for our children to develop enterprising skills at a very early age.
“Every student in Year Six will be part of this great competition and already it is fascinating hearing their ideas.
“The enthusiasm this competition has caused not only in the school but in the wider school community is contagious.”
Six winners will also be awarded £100 start up capital and support from a business mentor to help them develop their entrepreneurial ideas.
They will be chosen for the best business idea, the most profit generated and the most positive impact made on the community.
