Lily Allen’s Brits performances gives Birkenhead motorcycle helmet firm a sales boost

POP star Lily Allen’s triumph of being named Best British Female Artist at last week’s Brit Awards could provide a lucrative spin-off for a Birkenhead firm.

Davida UK specialises in high quality, open-face motorcycle helmets with a mix of colour schemes and designs.

When Ms Allen took to the stage at the awards in London her backing dancers all wore pink Davida Jet helmets.

The singer has also announced her retirement from music and this apparently had stoked interest in the helmets.

A spokesman for the firm said: “We have already received interest from fans who want to commemorate Lily Allen’s retirement from music by buying a replica pink Davida Jet helmet.”

Last year the firm supplied a helmet to movie star Peter Fonda when he recreated a scene from the classic, Easy Rider.
