Wirral youth groups bid for share of £90,000

YOUTH organisations in Wirral could share £90,000 in funding – but only if they convince young people they deserve the cash.

Wirral council is inviting voluntary organisations in the borough to apply for a cut of the £90,000 Youth Opportunities Fund for 2009/10.

The money can be used on a range of projects including new kitchen, dining, IT and music equipment, trips out and books.

As part of the application process, young people themselves will interview applicants on how they will use the money.

To register an interest, contact Ian McCabe on 0151 637 6370 before 1pm on August 21.
