CLARA calls on constituted residents’ and communtiy associations to form an umbrella group

CENTRAL Liscard Area Residents’ Association (CLARA) is calling on all constituted community and residents’ associations to form an umbrella group before Wirral Council’s next cabinet meeting.

CLARA says it is vital contact is made before August 12, so the umbrella group can be ratified and provide effective consultation ahead of the cabinet meeting in September.

CLARA chair David Hale said: “I want all constituted tenants and residents’ associations (TRA) and all community associations, which are constituted and which double as TRAs, to get in touch by phone or by email.

“This is about the future of tenants and residents’ involvement in Wirral.” All associations would maintain independence, but a specific interest group would be created to ensure consultation is effective and reaches the “heart of the community”.
