Battle of the bands at the Nelson this summer

WELL-known vocalist Marc Kenny is starting a battle of the bands night next month.

He decided to launch the competition following the success of his Tuesday night sets at the Nelson, Grove Road.

The launch date for the running event at the Wallasey pub will be Tuesday August 18.

Marc said: “The format will be heats over six weeks, with the winner from each night going into one of the semi-finals.

The final will take place on Tuesday October 13 and the overall winning band will pick up £500 cash.
